Wimbledon College of Arts
The MA Drawing course at Wimbledon promotes drawing for a purpose. It focuses on process, ideas and cross-disciplinary dialogues that centre on communicating ideas to an audience, client or user. The course critically looks at the potential of drawing to communicate, explain and propose ideas. The course encourages students to explore a range of strategies, materials and technologies, with a view to defining a personal methodology for drawing; and identify a relevant, critically articulate personal view or idea.
The course aims to bring together a range of disciplines where common territories can be explored through the use of drawing. The course is one year full time or two years part time. The course is led by Tania Kovats.
The activities of The Centre for Drawing: Wimbledon intersect with the MA Drawing. Students attend the DRAW reading group, and benefit from contact with the residency program.
